Olympic paid out a jackpot of nearly 350,000 euros in Italy
Posted on 05. June 2013
An impressive jackpot in the overwhelming amount of 346,102 euros was paid out this week in Italy, the newest market for the Olympic Entertainment Group (OEG) to a lucky Chinese gentleman currently living in Italy.
According to Madis Jääger, CEO of OEG, this was the second-largest amount ever won in OEG casinos. "A year ago a retired woman won close to 400, 000 euros on a slot machine in one of our casinos in Tallinn, Estonia but no one has ever won such a large amount in our casinos in other countries," Jääger said.
The middle-aged man was playing the game called Fairground Fortune on the evening of May 30th at the Slottery slot casino in Milan when the jackpot-bells started ringing awarding him with the whopping amount of money. The jackpot can be won by playing on a slot machine in any of VLT casinos of Italy at any given time.
Olympic Entertainment Group entered the Italian market in 2012 and in August set up a joint venture called The Box S.r.l with the Italian small casino operator GHolding. Today, the company owns two VLT slot casinos operating under the Slottery brand name in Italy with a total of 112 slot machines.
Olympic Entertainment Group is the region's largest provider of casino entertainment, employing more than 2,300 people. OEG is a full member of European Casino Association (ECA). Today the Group operates casinos in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Belarus and Italy. OEG shares are traded on the Tallinn Stock Exchange and the Warsaw Stock Exchange. All Olympic Entertainment Group casino operators are responsible enterprises that notify their clients of possible threats associated with gambling.
